Hypnotherapy for Low Self-Esteem

What is low self-esteem?

How we feel about ourselves shapes what we believe we deserve and what we think we're capable of. We all experience bouts of self-doubt, but low self-esteem is different–t is the persistent inner critic that questions every decision, dismisses every achievement and keeps you looking outward for a sense of worth that can only ever come from within.

Micah Swann, Manager, London

“Taking the step to seek help is a battle in itself and from the first call Sophie was extremely understanding and showed a lot of compassion. Talking with her is extremely easy and you don’t feel rushed or the sense of ‘clock watching’. I cannot thank her enough!!”

What causes low self-esteem?

Low self-esteem is rarely something we're born with. It is shaped by our earliest experiences and the messages we received as children about who we are, what we're capable of and whether we are enough. These messages don't always come from significant events. Sometimes it's a throwaway comment from a teacher, a parent's unspoken disappointment, or simply growing up in an environment where praise was rare. Over time, these experiences become a story we tell ourselves about who we are, and the longer we tell it, the more we believe it.

Cognitive hypnotherapy doesn't just help you manage the symptoms of low self-esteem, it works to resolve it. By accessing the unconscious mind, a cognitive hypnotherapist will help you identify the root cause of your self-doubt and addresses it directly, rather than treating the symptoms alone. Where CBT helps you recognise and reframe unhelpful thoughts, cognitive hypnotherapy goes further, working at a deeper level to create lasting change.

How does cognitive hypnotherapy treat low self-esteem?

Everyone is different, but most people will experience shifts in how they think about themselves after two to three sessions.

What results can I expect?

What is the cost of low self-esteem?

Low self-esteem is one of the most costly things a person can carry — not in money, but in potential. Every opportunity missed, every relationship held at arm's length, every version of yourself left unexplored. The question is not whether you can afford to address it. It is how much longer you can afford not to.
